    Record Holiday Open Mat + NEW MATS Announcement!

    On July 4th 2023 Pure MMA in Rockaway, NJ hosted a record size open mat with nearly 200 participants taking time out of their holiday to stop by and train for a couple hours. Pure MMA holiday open mats have become tradition and events that Jiu Jitsu and MMA practitioners from all over the tristate area look forward to attending on their days off. In part to continue to support these incredible turnouts, Pure MMA will shortly be acquiring all new mats and expanding the training space by another 1000sqft.     Charity Event Raises $3,400.00 for Local PBAs

    On January 4 th , Pure MMA together with Pure Karate and New Jersey Martial Arts Academy kicked off the New Year right by hosting an amazing board breaking charity event benefitting the PBAs of 15 local Police Departments! Over 200 guests were in attendance, and 450 boards were sponsored and broken by students, instructors, and attendees with a total of $3,400.00 raised. Prior to breaking their boards, guests were instructed to write their 2020 goals on them in order to “break through” their goals for the year. Kobudo and Kendo demonstrations brought excitement to the spectators, while special guest Allen Davies wowed the crowd with a musical creative forms routine. ....

    Meet the Keegan family! Parents Tom and AnneMarie, members of our Fitness Kickboxing team, are seen pictured with their three sons, Sean, Owen, and Timmy. All of the Keegan boys are members of our Tae Kwon Do Black Belt team and our Board Breaking/Weapons demonstration team.     Summer Schedule

    We are making some schedule adjustments for the summer starting June 25th . Attached is the new schedule. Changes to note are -Addition of 10:30am Kids TaeKwonDo classes Mon,Weds,Fri
    -Tues, Thurs 4pm Kids TKD is removed and Kids TKD at 5pm is now all levels.
    - Thursday 7pm Jiu Jitsu is now all levels
    - Thursday 8pm has been replaced with an advanced NoGi Jiu Jitsu with strikes or "Vale Tudo" class. 3 stripe white belt and up. We will not be striking hard but for safety please get a mouthguard and mma style gloves. You may participate the first few weeks without gloves and drill with light open palm strikes but please get gloves. MMA gloves through Pure are ....
