On January 4th, Pure MMA together with Pure Karate and New Jersey Martial Arts Academy kicked off the New Year right by hosting an amazing board breaking charity event benefitting the PBAs of 15 local Police Departments! Over 200 guests were in attendance, and 450 boards were sponsored and broken by students, instructors, and attendees with a total of $3,400.00 raised. Prior to breaking their boards, guests were instructed to write their 2020 goals on them in order to “break through” their goals for the year. Kobudo and Kendo demonstrations brought excitement to the spectators, while special guest Allen Davies wowed the crowd with a musical creative forms routine. Special thanks goes out to Morristown Lumber for their donation of all of the wood!
January marks four months since the inauguration of our partnership with NJMAA in an effort to bring a top notch Karate program to our community. The growth thus far has been amazing, and we are so excited to see what we can build together in the future.
